Ambassador shock absorbers, bushes & suspension parts
Suspension noises, ride-height changes or uneven wear need diagnosis before parts are chosen. An Ambassador shock absorber or bush kit must suit the assembly and mounting points on the car. Compare the actual item rather than relying on an illustration or a generic “fits Ambassador” description.
Check before ordering
- Specify front or rear and record the old part number where available. Photograph both mounting ends and fitted brackets.
- For bushes, compare inner and outer dimensions, length and the parts included. Ask whether sleeves, washers or other fittings are supplied.
- For shock absorbers and springs, ask for the listed application and dimensions. Do not select a replacement merely because it is a similar length in a photograph.
Questions for the seller
Ask a mechanic to inspect related joints and mountings so that an underlying fault is not missed. Confirm whether the advertised quantity is one piece, a pair or a complete set and check the seller’s return conditions before fitting.
