Match more than the name

Compare the stamped or cast number, mounting points, bore or thread sizes, connector shape and left/right orientation. A similar-looking component can have a different specification. Use a ruler in your photographs and ask the seller which dimensions were measured.

Confirm the complete kit

Check whether seals, gaskets, clips, fasteners and bearings are included. Ask whether a part is new, old unused stock, refurbished or used. Confirm the brand, warranty, known defects and return eligibility on the listing.

Keep a written record

Save the listing and seller confirmation. After delivery, compare the part before fitting or modifying it. If something differs, open an order support case promptly with photos and the order reference.

General owner-care guidance. Follow the instructions for your actual assembly and replacement part. Stop if the fitting, condition or required specification is uncertain. Use a qualified mechanic for safety-critical systems or uncertain fitment.
