Buying guide
Buying used and hard-to-find spares
Ask for the actual item, a clear condition report and the limits of any testing.
Ask for evidence
Request recent photographs of the actual item from several angles, including wear areas, markings, mounting holes and connectors. Ask about cracks, corrosion, repairs, missing pieces and previous storage. A stock photograph does not show the condition of a used part.
Understand testing claims
Ask how and when the component was tested and what remains untested. Refurbished does not automatically mean new or manufacturer approved. Have a qualified mechanic assess safety-critical brake, steering, suspension and fuel components before use.
Agree on delivery and returns
Read the listing warranty, dispatch time, shipping charge and seller return terms alongside marketplace policies. Keep packaging until inspection is complete. Report shipping damage with photographs before installation.
