Ambassador steering boxes, tie rods & steering parts
Steering boxes, linkage parts, columns, tie-rod ends and power-steering components require precise identification. Different fitted systems or later conversions can change the parts needed. The steering wheel’s appearance does not establish the specification of the box or linkage beneath it.
Check before ordering
- Identify the installed steering arrangement and whether the listing describes a front-end linkage part, column component or steering box.
- Confirm side, thread direction, mounting detail and any readable reference with the mechanic and seller. Photograph the actual old fitting.
- For a used assembly, ask what testing was done, what play or damage is known and which brackets or ancillary parts are included.
Questions for the seller
Do not treat a product photo as evidence of roadworthiness. Have steering play, stiffness or damage assessed by a qualified mechanic, and request written confirmation of the exact replacement specification before ordering.
