Ambassador fuel-system, air-filter & exhaust parts
Petrol and diesel fuel-system parts are not interchangeable simply because both vehicles are Ambassadors. Carburettor equipment, fuel pumps, filters, tanks, exhaust sections and manifolds need the correct assembly identification. A changed engine can also mean changed fuel and exhaust arrangements.
Check before ordering
- Describe the actual fuel system and record the manufacturer or reference on the old pump, carburettor or filter housing.
- For air-filter elements, compare height, inner and outer diameter and the seating surfaces. Similar-looking filters can seal differently.
- For exhaust pieces, compare flange shape, bolt spacing, pipe routing, mounting hangers and the sections included. Photos should show both ends.
Questions for the seller
Ask whether seals, clamps or brackets are supplied and whether the listing is new, old unused stock or used. Fuel leaks, fumes and damaged fuel pipes need professional inspection; do not use a product listing as a repair procedure.
